The oldest,Largest and nothernmost of the Highland Lakes is know as "big Buc"  to the locals. It is 31 miles in length,5.5 miles in width and  124 miles of shoreline,Gives lake Buchanan plenty of room for all types of activitys.
			Driving Directions: From Burnet: Go west on Hwy 29 to 261 (west side of lake buchanan) Turn Right on 261 and go 8.8 miles to 2241 (Bluffton Store) Turn Right on 2241 and go 4.4 miles to 3014 (Green sign on top sail boat) Turn Right on 3014 and go 2.2 miles Turn at Hi-Line Lake Resort Big red/ blue boat on left. From Llano: Take Hwy 29 east to 2241 turn left. stay on 2241 tio the Bluffton store and turn left (it will still be 2241) Go 4.4 miles to 3014 (green sign on top of sail boat) Turn Right on 3014 and go 2.2 miles turn at Hi-Line Lake Resort/big red and blue boat on left.
